Vintage Hutschenreuther Plate Germany Artist Signed Hand Painted Gilded Porcelain Pink RosesThe Hutschenreuther porcelain factory was founded in 1814 in Northern Bavaria, Germany by Carl Magnus Hutschenreuther (1780-1845). Hutschenreuther had gained experience by working at the Wallendorf porcelain manufacturing company. Following his death, his widow, Johanna and her sons continued to manage the work at the factory. From about 1860 the porcelain produced was hand painted and gilded. The mark of the lion and the name Hutschenreuther became recognized as a sign of excellence in porcelain.This gorgeous Hutschenreuther plate is hand painted and gilded. It has pretty vibrant colors of pink. greens, and purple. The background is a muted soft white. There are pink roses with greenish leaves and purple and grey colors! The edge of the plate is heavily gilded in gold along with interior.The plate has the mark of the lion with 1814 underneath along with Hutschenreuther Germany on the bottom of the plate. It is also signed by the artist "P Guy or P Gay". This German plate measures 10 1/8" diameter. This beautiful plate is in excellent vintage condition.There are no chips, no cracks, and no crazing. The colors are bright and beautiful! The gold on the rim and is interior is all intact!This was displayed only. Comes with wall hanger.
